Need Cash? Political Group Is Looking For Actors In Boise

If you're an aspiring actor or simply need some cash, there's a job for you and they're casting right here in Boise.

We're in the thick of an election year and things are heating up on all fronts, especially true here in the Treasure Valley. The political landscape has become so volatile that some political parties are looking for an edge where they can and are willing to pay for it.

We recently received word that a group supporting the Democratic party put out an ad on Craigslist looking for actors right here in Boise:

Looking for culturally diverse(everyone), all ages talent for our upcoming ad campaign. Please be advised, talent must be comfortable passionately discussing current politics as the script is of a political nature

The group known as Happy Deomcrars is offering to pay $225 if you land the gig. They even point out that "teleprompter experience [is] helpful but not required."

They even provide a sample of the script so you can rehearse your lines before auditioning for the ad. One of the lines reads:

I constantly find myself in a full-on panic at the thought of our democracy going backwards because of Donald Trump and the possibility of him actually returning to office. I mean, what is wrong with Americans? It seems like we are suffering from some sort of Trump-induced amnesia. I just do not understand it. There is just so much misinformation and disinformation going around!

And that's just a small tidbit of what you'll find in the sample script they created on Google Docs.
