The three suspects in the murder of 19-year old Briana Martinez are in court this afternoon and we are starting to learn more details about this horrific case; who the suspects are and what role they played in the tragedy.

Anthony Acala has been named as the gunman according to live Tweets on KTVB. He is facing charges of second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery. It was revealed in court today that Briana was shot with a pistol. If convicted of second-degree murder, Acala faces ten years to life in prison. The two counts of the aggravated battery can carry a 15-year sentence. 15 more years could be tacked onto his sentence as prosecutors are seeking a deadly weapons enhancement.

Taja Ra McMurtney-Winn and Jessica Lee Perez Timmons have been charged with harboring a felon when they hid Acala inside a home near Settler's Park in Meridian yesterday after the shooting.

Briana lived at the home where she was shot.

Taja Ra McMurtney-Winn was an ex-girlfriend of the man who was shot. He is still in the hospital and has not been publically identified. She says she went to Briana Martinez's house to retrieve some of her property.

McMurtney-Winn says when she was at the home she got in a fight with the other women there including Martinez and that is when Acala opened fire. Briana was shot in the chest and her sister has been identified as the third person who was shot in the altercation.

Acala's bond has been set at $1 million.

McMurtney-Winn, who is just 22-year-old, has a child and says she cares for her younger sisters. She is charged with harboring a fugitive, felony possession of drugs, misdemeanor possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her original battery charges have been dropped. The drug charges stem from a separate case. Her bond has been set at $250,000.

Jessica Lee Perez Timmons is being charged with harboring a fugitive and faces up to 5 years. She is an 18-year-old high school student who is set to graduate this spring. She lived with her father prior to the shooting. Her bond has also been set at $250,000.

All three suspects are due back in court on April 30th.
