The identity of the teen who drowned at Quinn's Pond over the weekend has finally been released.

He was just 15 years old and had only been here in Boise since July 5th. Deiudonne Eca had spent over 10 years in a refugee camp and being here in Idaho seemed like a beautiful new beginning, but his life was tragically cut short.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Deiudonne was with friends and one of his siblings when he drowned at Quinn's Pond on Friday. He was reportedly under the water for 23 minutes.

The International Rescue Committee is now providing support and helping Deiudonne's family prepare for a funeral. You can donate to support the cause HERE.

An investigation is still in the works, but according to initial reports from the Boise Police Department, Deiudonne was not wearing a life jacket and did not appear to know how to swim.
