Section of I-84 in Canyon County to Close Today

Expect to take a different route tonight if you travel I-84 in Canyon County.

Crews will shut down the freeway between the Franklin Road exit in Caldwell and the Karcher/Midland exit in Nampa from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night between April 22nd and April 26th.

Why is the freeway closed? According to KTVB, Idaho Power is installing power lines that will go across the freeway.

The biggest thing you can do in preparation for this closure is to know your detours. East and Westbound traffic will need to detour through highway 20 and highway 26.
