Idaho Law Enforcement Is Getting A Massive Upgrade By 2026
People who work in law enforcement never know what they're going to encounter. Whether it's behind the scenes at dispatch or on the frontlines, the ones who keep us safe need to have the best available resources at their disposal.
Recently, Canyon County Sheriff's Office broke ground on a new facility that will give our law enforcement exactly what they need.
Canyon County Sheriff's Office Administrative Building Location
According to a press release from Canyon County Sheriff's Office, a new administrative building is on the way and will be located "along Albany Street between 12th and 13th Avenues" in Caldwell.
"This building is a critical investment in the safety and security of Canyon County residents," said Sheriff Donahue said in the statement.
"It represents months of collaboration between the Sheriff’s Office, the Board of County Commissioners, our Facilities Director, and trusted local partners like Hummel Architects and Okland Construction."

Some might be asking: "How much will it cost?"
According to the press release, the facility has a price tag of $27.61 million and is being funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The new facility will have a new dispatch center, a "new and more accessible records division", and will even have "pretrial and alternative sentencing services" which is currently done at the Dale Haile Detention Center.
The project is expected to be completed by 2026.
