I love a refreshing summer cocktail and channeling my inner mixologist by trying out new recipes. I recently came across a recipe for an Idaho-inspired sea breeze cocktail called the Sawtooth Mountain Breeze and you have to try it!

A traditional Sea Breeze is a cocktail that contains vodka and is mixed with cranberry juice and grapefruit juice. This specific recipe is made using Idaho's Teton Glacier vodka —one of the only potato vodkas produced in America. The cocktail is usually consumed during summer months making it perfect to serve at bbq's and to sip by the pool.

Russ Pillar from Food & Wine shared the recipe and it's super easy to make!

Ingredients include:

2 cups grapefruit juice
2 cups cranberry juice
16 ounces (2 cups) vodka
Sugar, for glass rims
Crushed ice
8 lime slices, for serving

Depending on which liquor store you go to, you might not be able to run into Teton's Glacier vodka as easily make think especially with it being made in Idaho. Your best bet is purchasing Idaho's Teton Glacier online on their website. OR you could road trip Driggs, ID, visit the Grand Teton Distillery, and pick up a bottle there yourself. Use the left over to make a Bloody Mary or a Moscow Mule.

The directions are simple: In a pitcher, stir together the grapefruit juice, cranberry juice and vodka. Pour into 8 sugar-rimmed, ice-filled glasses, add a lime slice to each and serve.

Let me know if you try this recipe for yourself or if you have any other Idaho-inspired recipes.
