Residents were evacuated in this Garden City neighborhood this morning after a man pointed a rifle at officers.

48 year old Jake George Tally is behind bars this evening after threatening an officer and causing residents in the 400 block of East 44th street to evacuate in the early morning hours.

It started about 1:38 a.m. when an officer tried to serve a felony warrant on Tally.

According to KTVB he was originally leaving the home when officers arrived, but then he chose to go back inside and pointed a rifle at officers through a window. That's when police decided to evacuate the area.

At 3 a.m. Jake Tally surrendered and was taken into custody.

He's been charged with aggravated assault, trafficking a controlled substance, an possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

Another woman was also taken into custody in the situation. 35 year old Jessica Lynn Dillard had a felony warrant out for her arrest at the time of the standoff.

By 3 a.m. residents were able to return to their homes and we're just glad that everyone involved in the situation is o.k.
