Tent City

Thumbs up to Jodi Peterson who’s conducting a “Tent Drive” for the homeless who live in Tent City just off of Americana Blvd.  So far she’s donated 29 sleeping bags and 4 tents to those in need.

Yes, there's controversy surrounding Tent City and those who live there, but Jodi doesn't care about the politics of where, when, what, and how things should be done for these folks.  She just sees an opportunity to do something good... and does it.

These people need help.  And while most are sitting around talking about how to fix the problem... Jodi's doing something.  Something to help every man, woman, and child that lives in Tent City.  It's getting cold at night and I'm sure these fresh, new sleeping bags are being put to very good use.

People like Jodi are the example of what our 1 Shirt 365 Days campaign is all about.  Seeing an opportunity and doing something about it.  Carly and I wear our shirts today, for the 323rd straight day in a row because Jodi did something nice for the homeless.  Jodi, we're big fans!  God bless!!
