In Florida, school bus driver Rene Carpenter was on a run preparing for the new school year when she saw a two-year-old alone in the street.

The 16-year veteran bus driver and her instructional assistants stopped to pick up the child. The two-year-old was only wearing a diaper. After no response at the home's front door, Carpenter took the child on the bus while waiting for police officials to arrive. The child was in good spirits and explored the bus with excitement.

Carpenter, who is now being called a hero, said, "You see something, you say something. To me, it was just the right thing to do."

The child is safe and reunited with family. Carpenter wants to use this as a reminder for parents to keep an eye on their children.
