There's a lot of places in our neck of the woods you can pitch a tent, start a fire and relax in the outdoors but most cost money. Not these 5 beauties.
1. Macks Creek

Free campsite in the Bureau of Land Management Four Rivers District. Located on the Boise River Arm of Lucky Peak Lake just 25 miles away from Boise.
2. Shafer Butte
fs.usda.gov
At the top of the scenic Boise Ridge Mountains near Bogus Basin at an elevation of about 7,000 feet.
3. Montour WMA
idfg.idaho.gov
Nice quiet little campground with plenty of bathrooms and a community campfire.
4. Irish Point Dispersed

Check out the beautiful river in the Boise National Forest
5. Martin's Landing

Sixty acres of beauty near the Boise, Owyhee and Snake Rivers.
