I've never heard of paramyxovirus before.  Apparently, its a virus found in doves and pigeons which is absolutely deadly to birds but not so much for humans.  This nasty little virus has found its way to Kuna, Idaho where dead birds are being found at an alarming rate.

When the Idaho Fish and Game first received a call or two you think this is probably no big deal but when these deaths start adding up to dozens and even hundreds, an investigation is definitely necessary.

KTVB reports that the Idaho Fish and Game have asked the public to please not feed the birds for now because that helps spread the virus to other birds.  Also, if you're going to handle a dead bird, please wear gloves, dispose of the bodies in some type of outside trash area and wash thoroughly after handling.
