1. We are the 3rd largest producers of CHEESE in the country!! Pass the cheddar!
2. The world can pretty much thank us for television since Philo Farnsworth of Rigby, Idaho invented the precursor to the modern TV. Later on, Farnsworth developed a full television system and he launched Farnsworth Television and Radio Corporation in 1938.
3. Potatoes, need I say more?! French fries, funeral potatoes, and hashbrowns would not be the same without our Idaho potatoes!
4. We're pretty tech savy here! Thanks to big corporations like Micron, we export tons of microchips and semiconductors!
5. We're home to what's being dubbed the greatest supermarket on earth, Winco! Winco has doubled in size and is expected to do so again this year because of their employee-centered business model.
6. We export and produce more trout than anywhere else in the world! Over 50% of the world's trout comes from Hagerman Valley!
7. Marital bliss starts with an Idaho mined ring! Over 70 different gem stones are produced in Idaho!
8. We make lots of food a possibility! Over 80% of the worlds seedlings for agriculture are produced right here!
9. We have great beer! Idaho is 3rd in the country for hops production!
10. Idaho is also a leading producer of milk and it's our largest cash export.
