Woman Ejected From Vehicle After Crashing Into Snake River
Authorities are saying this is most likely an alcohol-related accident that should never have happened and definitely could've been avoided. KTVB has reported that the Baker County Sheriff's Office stated that 61-year-old Rebecca Johnson's vehicle swiftly and suddenly veered down a 150-foot steep embankment into the Snake River. The impact of the crash ejected Johnson but did not kill her. Johnson is currently recovering at a local hospital.
It took a major effort from a lot of different organizations to save Johnson. The Baker County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue dive team and rope team had to maneuver a boat into the area of the crash to pull Johnson out to safety. Johnson was transferred to the hospital by life flight. Her condition at this time is unknown.
