A woman is dead this morning; a child and two other people in the hospital after a terrible accident on HWY 31.

The accident happened yesterday afternoon near Swan Valley at about 4:45 p.m.

24-year-old Nevada J. Chavez of Victor was behind the wheel of a 1997 Subaru Legacy Wagon headed northbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and hit a 2018 BMW X5 driven by 64-year-old Seied Z. Yasrobi of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Unfortunately, 24-year-old Nevada was not wearing her seatbelt and she passed away from her injuries in the crash.

According to the Idaho State Journal, everyone was wearing seatbelts in the other vehicle and they were transferred to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Please keep this young woman and everyone involved in this horrible crash in your thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come. 24-years-old is far too young to die and it's just another reminder of how precious this one life is.
