3-Year-Old Dies In Boise Car Crash

Stories like this just rip your heart out! A beautiful three-year-old little girl has passed away after a terrible car accident. 

The crash actually happened in the early hours of July 2nd. Little Odalys Martinez of Nampa died after the van she was riding in collided with an SUV. In an article on KTVB that details the tragedy, we find that the horrible accident happened at the intersection of Orchard and Diamond Street in Boise. All four people in the van that Odalys was riding in and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital.

The 53-year-old driver of the SUV only received minor injuries, while Odalys was not so fortunate.

Behind the wheel of the van, was a 34-year-old woman whose name has not been released. A 16-year-old was in the passenger seat and an 8-year-old girl was in the backseat with Odalys.

The crash was so bad that the other children remain in the hospital nine days later. No charges have been filed at this time. Boise police are continuing an investigation and although alcohol has not been ruled out, they are not saying that was or was not the cause.
