6 Dead In School Bus Crash

As our Treasure Valley kids headed out this morning, post Halloween, we all should be extra thankful our babies are safe.  No kids were on this school bus but unfortunately 6 people did not make it.

Six people are dead after a school bus and a commuter bus crashed this morning.The school bus slammed into a car, hit a pillar and then crashed into an MTA bus. The school bus driver and five people on the commuter bus were killed along with several others who were injured.

An aide survived the crash and hopefully he'll be able to provide more information to investigators. There were no skid marks on the road, indicating the school bus driver may not have attempted to break.

A medical examiner will attempt to determine if the school bus driver suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash.  Six families are currently being notified that their loved ones are not coming home.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to these families!

Other people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. One victim is in critical condition, one in serious condition and three are in stable condition at UMD Medical Center.
