Amy’s Pile: Buffalo Wild Wings Is Turning Restaurants Into Ballparks
Live sports are returning, but they won't have any fans in the stadiums or arenas. That's why Buffalo Wild Wings is stepping up to the plate with something fun for sports fans.
They announced their new strategy, starting with Major League Baseball. The brand wants to keep certain baseball rituals alive so, while still maintaining strict social distancing, they're going to recreate the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of a ballpark inside their restaurants.
The activation began this week at the Buffalo Wild Wings outside of Washington's stadium in D.C. From there, they will move to other cities around the league throughout the season. This initiative will bring beer vendors inside the restaurant along with some of the country's most famous purveyors to sling beers to costumers. Some will have some musical ballpark employees stop by to provide a musical vibe. And as an added perk, customers can order wings out of classic plastic baseball helmets.
