Announcing: Boise State’s Jeanty Headed To NFL After Spectacular Year
Ashton Jeanty's Historic 2024 Season and NFL Draft Decision
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty has become a household name this year and has delivered a season that people will be talking about for years to come. Ashton has been dominating college football with record-breaking performances, playoff aspirations, and a firm spot in the Heisman Trophy race. If a lot of people had it their way, they would win the Heisman Trophy!
Record-Breaking Performances This Season
Jeanty has rushed for an eye-popping 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns with an impressive 7.3 yards per carry, leading all FBS players by a wide margin. His numbers place him in reach of Barry Sanders' legendary 1988 single-season FBS rushing record of 2,628 yards. With at least one more game to play and Boise State poised for the College Football Playoff, Jeanty has a chance to break the record.
Headed To The NFL
Before tonight's game (the Mountain West Championship), Jeanty announced he would forgo his senior year and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. With his vision, breakaway speed, and knack for delivering in the clutch, Jeanty looks like a future pro star. The NFL is about to get itself one electrifying playmaker.
But for now, Jeanty is locked in on finishing strong. Whether he's chasing a title, breaking records, or making a Heisman push, this guy has made Boise State football exciting again and given fans one heck of a season. I'm sure Boise State fans would have loved seeing Ashton Jeanty return for his senior year. Still, I also know that Boise State fans are excited about his future and can't be mad after he has given everything he has on and off the field for his community.
