A military judge just made his ruling on the Bowe Bergdahl case and it has a lot of people not happy that his punishment wasn't more severe.

The 31-year soldier from Hailey, Idaho shook and trembled as the judge was about to issue his verdict which could've sent Bergdahl to prison for life.  According to KTVB the exact ruling the judge gave was no prison time but a dishonorable discharge, rank reduced to private and he must forfeit pay equal to $1,000 per month for 10 months.

Bergdahl will not be eligible for VA healthcare or other benefits the military offers.  The truth is he'll most likely find it very difficult to move on with his life, get a job, and make money.

That still isn't enough for a lot of people who feel Bergdahl should receive the stiffest of punishments for walking away from his post in Afghanistan which put his fellow soldiers in harms way.

Bergdahl's defense team argued that the five years he spent as a prisoner of the Taliban was more than enough punishment for what he's done.  The argument didn't fall on deaf ears and it seems the judge was lenient with the overall verdict.
