The Bloodiest Day in Idaho’s Maximum Security Prison
The show 60 Days In is a reality-based show that follows people who volunteer to go undercover as inmates inside America's most dangerous prisons. It's one of our favorite guilty pleasures because you know that anything can happen (or escalate quickly) in a prison.
And look, we get it - we're basing what prison life would be like on a show you can find on Netflix. We don't know a ton of people who have been inside for an extended period of time but most people would agree that prison life can be unpredictable... and dangerous.
Prison brawls in Idaho
Prison brawls are no joke and we imagine that they're even more terrifying in maximum security prisons like the one in Idaho. Just last June, an inmate was beaten to death by two other inmates inside of Idaho's most dangerous prison which is located in Kuna.
If you've ever seen the inside of Idaho's maximum security prison, you know that it's cold, generic, and enough to break the mind of the average citizen. Throw in some of the most violent criminals in all of Idaho and if they're not careful, prison security could have their hands full.
Idaho's most infamous prison brawl is also its bloodiest
Prison security had its hands full back in 2018 when members of the Sureños and the Norteños gangs clashed inside Idaho's maximum security prison.
The prison brawl involved fourteen people and even included the use of a kitchen appliance as a weapon. There's no doubt this was a bloody brawl and arguably one of the bloodiest days in Idaho's prison system.
Here's a breakdown of what happened on that terrifying day...
