Bobby Bones Returns As American Idol’s In-House Mentor For Season 4

After weeks of waiting to find out if Bobby Bones will return to American Idol for Season 4, there is finally confirmation.

Bones has closed a deal to return as the in-house mentor for Season 4, meaning the core on-screen team is staying the same for a fourth consecutive season. He'll join previously announced judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest. Bones will work with the hopeful Idols on bringing their performances to the next level and offering his industry expertise.

Earlier this year, Bones raised some questions over his future on Idol when he tweeted some things that implied there was "tension." Though he was just joking and noted that he's been filming his own TV show Breaking Bobby Bones, which was causing some timing conflicts with Idol.
