Bobby Talks About His Mistakes From Presenting At The 2020 CMA Awards
Last night (November 11) Bobby Bones presented at the 2020 CMA Awards.
The show marked the first time that the country music community has been together in one room since the pandemic happened in March. The CMAs took all the precautions for the evening by making all attendees take a COVID-19 test and provide a negative result before they were able to attend the show. If they were unable to do so, they couldn't attend the show, which is why Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, and at the last minute, Lady A, weren't at the show.
Bones obviously passed all of his cautionary screenings, and was able to move forward with presenting the award for "Single of the Year." When he was introduced by hosts Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker, there was a pun about him no longer being single and just getting engaged. Then when he went to present the award, there were so many puns about him no longer being single. He even made a joke during it saying, "So many puns here guys." During the presenting, Bones did make sure to say hello to his fiancé Caitlin.
However, Bones confessed that he had a few mishaps during the presenting. When he was walking up with the card in hand, he had his middle finger on the outside of the card and it looked like he was flipping off those watching on television. Then, he misread a word during his presenting. He also acknowledged that he forget to give a fist to the fans as he normally does during any television appearance.
Bones also had to deal with some Karens coming out on social media when he shared a photo with Luke Combs and Jon Pardi. They were commenting about them hugging and not wearing masks, but Bones hit them back very sarcastically, "It's totally a corona fest here. No one was tested at all yesterday and today. Also we def weren't wearing masks before we were on the floor together!! It's corona crazy!!"
