Body Found Is Missing Boise Woman

The Boise Police asked for help from the public on Thursday in finding 37-year-old Melissa Mariscal who had been missing for nearly a week.  This morning her body was found.

The Ada County Coroner's Office confirmed that the Boise woman found dead in the New York Canal southwest of Boise this morning was Melissa Mariscal.

Mariscal's body was spotted in the water near Cole and Amity by someone walking by about 8:30 this morning.  The body was retrieved by Boise Fire downstream next to Maple Grove Road.

An investigation is underway.  Out thoughts and prayers go out to Melissa's family.  We're thinking of you!
