Until a year ago I had never heard of a finger steak. A Finger what?!?!! I finally had to try them. Here's what I thought and where to find the "Best Finger Steaks in Idaho!"

Rick and I have been living here for a whole year now, so I figured it's about time I tried finger steaks. Obviously this is an Idaho thing because I'd never even heard of them before.

Essentially, they're strips of steak battered and fried. I had my first batch at Westside Drive-In today and at least there they give you cocktail sauce to dip them in. I thought that was bizarre, but it was actually pretty good! Is dipping finger steaks in cocktail sauce the norm? I don't know! They were created right here in the Gem State by a guy named Milo Bybee at the Torch Lounge.

Anyway, if you've been living in the dark like me, they're really good. It's like the benefit of eating steak and tempura shrimp all in one meal! I'd totally get it again!
