She's only 22-years-old and some bad decisions have landed this Mama in a very bad spot.

Tewanda Riddle had her kids in the car when she was pulled over on Orchard and Morris Hill Road on Wednesday night.

Officers smelled alcohol on Tewanda's breath and she was asked to participate in field sobriety tests that she failed.

Riddle was arrested, but she resisted by kicking an officer in the leg.

Charges against Riddle are stiffer than normal because she had her kids in the car. She's facing two counts of injury to a child, a felony charge of battery on an officer and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

According to KTVB, the children are now in the care of other family members.

I have a really hard time having any degree of sympathy for this one. When you're a mother those kids have to be your everything, your top priority. I don't care if you drink, but you have to be responsible about it. You can't get behind the wheel of a car and you certainly can't drive drunk with kids in the car! Aye, aye, aye!

We've got to fix this here in our great state of Idaho. A new study this week by autoinsurance.org placed us as the 36th worst state for drunk driving.
