Controversial Boise Area Bar Says They Received A Bomb Threat
Last week, we shared a story with you about Old State Saloon's announcement about their upcoming Hetero Awesome Fest this summer. As one might expect, the story sparked several discussions from the community and those who follow us on social media.
Now, the controversial bar is sharing that they recently received a serious threat.
Controversy In Eagle, Idaho
This isn't the first time that Eagle's Old State Saloon has been at the center of controversy in the Treasure Valley.
Last year, we shared the news of the Eagle establishment celebrating what they called "Heterosexual Awesomeness Month," which sparked similar discussions from both supporters and those who were against.

We noticed a similar response when we shared the news of their "Hetero Awesome Fest," which is planned for this June.
"I'll be showing with rainbow flags," one person commented. "You know to support the ones actually oppressed."
"Why are so many 'tolerant left/ everyone is welcome' people have such an issue with this? Your hypocrisy is showing!!!", another wrote.
Others even sent us messages and emails claiming we were promoting the event despite our attempts to share, from a neutral stance, what is happening in our community.
Old State Saloon Shares The Scary Backlash They're Receiving
Apparently, we weren't the only ones to receive emails or messages about Old State Saloon's upcoming event. The controversial bar shared a plethora of messages they received from people that mostly consisted of threats of violence and destruction.
"I'm going to get you good," read one of the messages they shared.
"Eat my whole ***," read another.
A few other death threats were shown before the montage ends with a pretty serious threat.
"Go to hell you ******* *** wipes. There's a bomb in the building."
Who Is Crossing The Line?
Look, we know there are people who have their reasons to be against either side. But, with that being said, there is no place for violence and threats to take someone's or multiple people's lives.
As we've said before, we're not picking a side because our side isn't more important than anyone else's. But what we will say is that we're better than this - Idaho is better than this.
There are enough problems and issues we all deal with every day; threatening someone with their life for solely disagreeing with your beliefs is not the answer... but we all know that, right? We've all heard that before, and we're all smart enough to differentiate right from wrong.
Regardless of where you stand, do the right thing, be respectful of those who disagree with you, and more importantly, don't threaten violence or destruction.
We're all better than that... aren't we?
