David Rush On Why He’s Broken 150 Guinness World Records
David Rush is an author, speaker, and a Guinness World Records breaker of 150 records. He came on The Bobby Bones Show to talk about all of his records, why he continues to go after them, and what he thinks of the show attempting to break some of his personal records.
Rush is noted on his Instagram as "one of most prolific GWR breakers on the planet" and he holds the title for World's Fastest Juggler. He's completed and has records of over 150 Guinness World Records everything from most wet sponges to the face, drinking 1 liter of lime juice in 1 minute to behind the back frisbee catches in 1 hour. The range of his accomplishments is wild. He shared that he looks on the website for different records to break and that's ultimately how he decides what he wants to go after. He tends to look at ones that involve juggling, balance or running and sometimes food or drinks.
But what's most notable about Rush is that he doesn't do these challenges for money. He does them to promote STEM education. He has an electrical engineering degree from MIT, an MBA from Boise State and wants to encourage young kids to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. He also encouraged others to try breaking records. He said that anyone can do them, they just have to have a growth mindset.
