Former Boise State Football Player Named Newest Coach
New Head Coach Andy Avalos is wasting no time bulking up his coaching staff. If you missed the original info from his signing on you can find it here. He just announced a pretty awesome pick added to his coaching staff today. Former Boise State football player Jeron Johnson is stoked to come back to the Blue. Jeron Played from 2007 to 2010 and was one of the most feared hitters in the history of the Boise State football. He also played six years in the NFL for Seattle and Washington. The Boise State Athletic Department said he is coming back to coach cornerbacks in his first collegiate coaching position.
Head Coach Avalos said, “Having been part of this brotherhood, Jeron understands our culture and knows what we’re building on here. He has lived this student-athlete experience, taken what he learned into a professional career – both on and off the field – and I am excited to have him here, mentoring the young men we’re bringing into this program.”
