Thousands of Idaho residents were left without power this morning because of the weather.  With 3 to 6 more inches tomorrow and 3 to 6 more possible on Sunday... this threat is very real for all of us.

So what should you have in your home in case power goes out for an extended period of time?  According to Idaho Power, here's your top priorities...

 

  • Food that doesn't have to be cooked like jerky or dried fruit
  • Extra blankets
  • Something extra to provide light like candles, matches, flashlights
  • Bottled water (your pipes might freeze)

 

Also... please check on your neighbors to make sure they're o.k.  Especially those that are elderly or alone.
