Some people love it, others despise it, but one thing is for sure - DOGE is working hard to save money and making headlines about it.

One of the primary goals of this department is to ultimately save money and get America back on track. Now, Idaho lawmakers are looking to do the same for the Gem State.

A DOGE Task Force In Idaho?

According to the official website of the Idaho Legislature, Idaho lawmakers passed House Bill 364 on Friday, March 7th which would create an Idaho-focused DOGE task force.

"Recognizing the need for systematic oversight and efficiency improvements, this formal legislative task force comprises nine members from the legislature, ensuring balanced representation and informed decision-making," the bill's statement of purpose reads.

"To maximize its impact, the task force will be structured into specialized subgroups, each addressing a critical area of government operations."

The critical areas outlined in the bill's statement of purpose include "regulatory accountability, budget accountability, and government operations and oversight."

The bill also says that the task force would operate under a "sunset clause" and remain active until 2029.

Because the bill already passed the committee, the next step is for it to go to the house floor.
