I always secretly wanted to build robots when I was a kid. Unfortunately our school never offered any resources for that stuff while I was growing up, so It was something I just never got the chance to experience. So, when my bonus kiddo says she wants to learn more about technology and science I get super excited. We always try and keep an eye out for fun events around town centered on those types of activities for kids. That's why I'm super bummed we missed this FREE event at the Taco Bell Arena over the weekend.

Students from high school robotics teams in six states, Canada, and China came to Idaho to compete in a regional robotics competition that would potentially seal their place in the national competition in Houston. The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) Robotics competition was held over two days at Taco Bell Arena and was open and free to the public. There were 15 teams representing Idaho, and one of those, Team Tators, took the top spot and will represent Idaho in Houston at the national championships in just a few weeks.
