Now A Boise Area Brewery Will Be Closed For Good Soon
Cortni and Matt, the power couple behind Idawild, shared that stepping back was a call from the heart, prioritizing family life after welcoming their sweet baby boy in October last year. Parenthood reshapes your world in ways you can’t predict, and for them, it meant making the tough decision to close the brewery to be more present in their son’s growing years. They’re looking forward to new careers that align better with family time, which is something you gotta respect.

Before they say their final goodbye, they’re inviting us all for one last round (or two or three) of good times and great beer. They’ve even got some cool food trucks lined up to send off in style. And, if you’ve got a gift card lying around, now’s the time to use it up.
It’s a bittersweet pill to swallow when a great spot decides to shut down, right? Idawild Brew Co. just dropped the news on Instagram that they’re closing their doors for good on May 31st, 2024. They aren't the only ones who announced they're closing their doors this week.
It’s more than just a brewery closing; it’s like saying farewell to a piece of the community. Over the past couple of years, Idawild wasn’t just about beer. It was where we celebrated weddings and birthdays and even mourned together. They’ve been an integral part of our lives in ways beyond what’s poured into a glass.
And here’s the kicker—they’re not alone in this. Twisted District Brew Co. also announced it’s closing down. Two excellent spots in Garden City are closing down in just one week. It’s a tough reminder of the sacrifices small business owners make, balancing passion with personal life.
Thank you to Cortni, Matt, and everyone who made Idawild what it was. Your brews will be missed, but your reasons resonate. Here’s to new beginnings for you and your family. Cheers!
