Live Chicken in Idaho Court

Cindy Tefft of Spirit Lake, Idaho brought a live chicken named Grace into a Kootenai court room. Here's why!

It's not something you see everyday, but on Monday Cindy Tefft brought her pet chicken to court. It's the chicken, named Grace, who got Cindy into trouble.

Grace, who is a service animal, hopped into Cindy's neighbors yard and is being accused of trespassing.

According to KTVB Cindy pled not guilty to failing to restrain her chicken. Cindy says she doesn't understand why the chicken was not given a warning before being issued a ticket and she plans to seek legal counsel to fight the case.
