(Official bio from www.mackaylahunter.com)
From a family and faith centered foundation in Boise Idaho to a current home in music city, this Nashville Recording Artist is back to work on new music and a fresh sound. The musical direction of MacKayla Hunter has a cool indie vibe with a dynamic blend of Folk, Pop, and Country influences. She is an emerging force for young artists carving out her own unique sound in the music business.

With a solid touring background the past few years and shared performances with many of today’s stars, her live shows are packed with entertainment from current hits in multiple genres (pop, country, rock) along with her original material. MacKayla is not defined or limited by one type of music, venue, or fan…and this is what makes her so good. She lights up any room with her presence and connects on a personal level with her fans. By the way…MacKayla is a huge Boise State football fan.

In 2010, MacKayla released her debut six pack EP, ‘Bitter & Sweet’, followed by several strong single releases of which Universal Records has distributed in European markets. September of 2013, she signed with Arrow Entertainment of Nashville/Seattle for ongoing artist management and booking. Currently, MacKayla is back touring and working on pre-production for several new singles to be released in 2014 and 2015. Details and updates of her new project will be released via social media.

A few final thoughts from MacKayla…’I believe that music has a way to the heart. For the last several years, writing has been my passion, singing has been my love and music has been my way of life. When I write a song, it’s simply what I’m writing in my journal – what I’m thinking and what I’m feeling. They are my confessions, my experiences, my dreams and my failures.  When I sing my songs for people, I want them to relate to the words I write. I want my songs to be “your songs,” “our songs,” and “their songs. James Dean said, “Dream as if you’ll live forever, and live as if you’ll die today.” This is how I will live my life. My hope is that I will leave my mark and be a positive influence, whether that’s through my music or through the way I live my life. Thanks to everyone who’s helping me live my dream!’
