Movie Mike D’s See It Or Skip It? – The Suicide Squad

This is not a remake but instead a reimagining of Suicide Squad that came out in 2016. Some of the same characters but a whole new story and mission and with a new director, James Gunn.

I thought the movie was fantastic. It’s like if Quentin Tarantino were to make a comic book movie. Violence reminded me of that of which you would see on The Boys on Amazon. So if you have a problem with blood and torn limbs...might not be the movie for you. But not only that it was pretty funny too. And not in the same way as say Avengers movies are funny. It’s a little more clever and I actually found myself laughing out loud too.

My favorite performance is Sylvester Stallone as “King Shark” which he does the voice for. I never thought I would be so invested in a big dumb shark on screen, but he’s such a fun character.

Overall, it’s a near perfect comic book movie. I vote “See It” and give it 4.5 out of 5 Sharks. Watch the trailer below!
