Imagine sitting in your house when all of a sudden a car comes crashing through! It happened in Nampa early this morning.

Police say 30-year-old Jose Rivera was headed east on East Sherman Ave when he crossed through an intersection, through a yard, and landed into the side of a house, taking out a chunk of the wall.

According to KTVB, the crash happened at 12:29 a.m. and police are suspecting that Rivera was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but details of that have not been confirmed yet.

Luckily the homeowners were not in the room that Rivera crashed into, so no one was injured, but Rivera's actions caught up with him. As he tried to leave the scene of the accident he caught his vehicle on a decorative rock.

He's been booked into the Canyon County Jail on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of the accident.

Authorities say the crash caused significant damage to the home, but they haven't thrown out a cost estimate yet.

We're just glad everyone is o.k. How scary!
