Accidents like this break my heart. Gone in an instant, this woman from Nampa was killed after she was rear-ended at an intersection in Meridian.

63 year old Pamela Susan Sherman died from blunt force trauma after her car was hit from behind at the intersection of Meridian Road and Chinden Blvd at about 8:30 p.m. on March 8th.

According to KTVB, she was rushed to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center but passed away from her injuries.

The driver who hit Pamela was just 19 years old and so far investigators don't believe that drugs or alcohol were involved but they are looking at the possibility of distracted driving.

So far it is unclear if the driver will be charged in this accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who loved Pamela.

Even if they conclude that distracted driving was not involved, let it serve as a warning to pay attention while you drive. Life is oh so precious.
