Want to Party on a Rooftop Tiki Bar in Boise Every Sunday?

Many people may know it as WOH or “We Out Here…” 

But the real OG’s know it as: Sunday church.

And it’s coming back to Boise this Sunday, May 22, for its ninth year running!

WOH [pronounced like: whoa] 

We Out Here is a free summer concert series in downtown Boise, and it’s held on the Reef rooftop (weather permitting), which is a popular tiki bar on the corner of 6th and Main. 

It occurs every Sunday from 10 pm - 2 am, and goes throughout the entire summer.

There is a video game station set up for those who wish to play Mario, there are drink specials all night long and it’s basically a giant party – some people are dancing, some are sitting down having conversations and some are playing video games. 

There’s something for everyone!

It’s also important to note that because this is strictly a bar scene, it is only 21 and older.

What type of music?

WOH typically plays electronic dance music (EDM), and it regularly features local musicians in the scene. 

However, in order to be respectful to the new apartment complexes that have been built nearby, they are planning on running these events a little bit differently this year than they have in the past. 

The music will be played at a lower amplified volume, and will be used in combination with silent disco headphones. 

Why the change?

WOH’s Co-Founder, Garren Spinato, elaborated further on why this change was necessary: 

“As the downtown housing market continues to grow, we have adapted to the surrounding area by offering wireless headphones in order to continue our beloved summer series under the stars, without disturbing nearby residents – particularly at the Lucy.

Having a lower amplified volume, it will allow our guests who opt out of renting headphones the ability to still enjoy the music and conversation.

Overall, we are really excited to continue the event in its original location, but with a twist! And that twist just so happens to allow us to work closely with our good friends over at Kaleidisco.” 

It’s important to note…

With this newest addition, the overall event is still free to attend, but it is $5 to rent the headphones in order to listen to the music at a higher volume.

According to Spinato, the music will still be audible throughout the patio without the headset, but just not as loud as it has been in past years.

It is the same Sunday service, but with a new sermon.
