Shooting and Stabbing This Morning in Nampa

Our Treasure Valley Halloween is off to a violent start. We've already had a shooting and stabbing in Nampa.

It started at 4 a.m.as two roommates began to argue and escalated to the point that one of them is in the hospital.

On 1st Street North near 17th avenue, one of the roommates came home drunk and that's what sparked the fight.

The lady of the house told the drunk roommate that he could no longer live at the home and that's when the argument exploded. He pulled out a gun and fired, although fortunately no one was hit by the gunfire.

According to KTVB, the violence continued when one of the women in the house pulled out a knife and stabbed the drunk man in the back. He retaliated and slashed the woman.

The unidentified man who started the incident is the one in the hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Authorities say charges are pending.
