Families have quarrels. This is nothing new. Is biting someone to remedy a quarrel the wisest solution? Let's investigate.

A Boise man (a parolee) is facing another felony charge after he supposedly attacked and bit his father after a dispute. The suspect and his father were arguing about home renovations when a violent altercation ensured. The man struck his father, then bit his finger down to the bone, then fled the scene.

If you're thinking "Yeesh, what kinda guy bites his own DAD?", I understand. Maybe it's the kind of guy who has a criminal history of:

  • Drunk driving
  • Robbery
  • Drug possession
  • Burglary

Let's not forget the nine other misdemeanors on the suspect's record. If he is indeed convicted of aggravated battery, he could be facing up to 15 years in prison.

So, let's digress. Should you bite your father?

No. No you should not. You should settle your differences like men. Perhaps with an arm wrestling contest, a friendly game of chess, a foot race, or even a spirited round of dominoes. But under no circumstances should you bite your own father.
