Taco Bell Arena as we know it will be no more. It's the end of an era. Instead of saying you're going to a concert at "Taco Bell Arena" you'll have to get used to saying this.

ExtraMile Arena is going to take some getting used to, but that's the new name of the venue and it's locked in for 15 years in an $8.4 million dollar agreement that translates to about $550,000 a year.

According to idahonews.com, longtime supporters John Jackson and his family were involved in putting this partnership together with ExtraMile and apparently they've been working on the deal for quite some time.

I remember when this happened to the arena I grew up with back in Salt Lake City. It changed from "The Delta Center" to the "Energy Solutions Arena" to the "Vivint Smarthome Arena" over the course of a couple of decades, and every time the venue would get a name change I would think "I just can't see myself calling it that!"

This is how ExtraMile Arena feels in our brains right now, but before we know it, "Taco Bell Arena" will be a thing of the past and the bottom line is the venue next to Boise State University will continue to be a great venue for concerts and other events that roll into town and create great memories for us with our friends and family.
