Tanya Tucker On The Song She’s Closed Her Concerts With For Several Years

Tanya Tucker's live album Live From The Troubadour drops tomorrow featuring nine iconic hits and six songs from her other album While I'm Livin'. She stopped by The Bobby Bones Show virtually to talk about the new live album, her bulldog, and her recent nominations.

While chatting with the show, Tucker revealed that her massive hit "Delta Dawn" is the song she closes with for all of her concerts for the last several years. However, it wasn't until Tucker was around 16-years-old that she actually had a band of her own.

On her new album, there's a song called "I'm On Fire" that's a collaboration of songs, Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire" and Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire." The song is a tribute to Cash and she said it's for her son Grayson who loves Cash and that song. The collaboration of the song happened one time during rehearsal and she was digging the off the grid sound.

When Tucker isn't busy touring, she loves spending time with her English Bulldog Stella. She adores her and shares that she's spent a lot of money to keep her healthy, though she still snores every single night. One of her fans even painted her a picture of Stella and the painting is now hanging on Tucker's wall.

Despite the pandemic, Tucker has had a huge 2020. She's had several award nominations, including being the most nominated country artist at the 2020 GRAMMYs. She confessed that all of the nominations have made her feel like she's been dreaming this year. Though, her nomination for "Song Of The Year" in all genres is the one that really blew her mind.
