This Historic Horseshoe Bend Spot is a Must Stop

I love exploring all of the fantastic hidden gems hiding in the gem state. Horseshoe Bend was already a fun top spot visit on my list but after discovering Locking Horns Riverside Restaurant, even more so now. This is a wonderful historic place to stop, visit, and have a great meal in Horseshoe Bend.

The views of the Mountains and Payette River that run right along side of the incredible and updated patio is enough for the drive from Boise. When you try the food though... you will be hooked. My first visit I had the 'Idaho omelette'. It was so amazing and big that it lasted me like 3 meals. Incredibly satisfying breakfast, lunch and dinner options make this a must stop spot.

Right next to the restaurant is the Inn and 'All Aboard' gift shop. The building was formerly a train depot, that was moved from its original location. It is so unique and will transport you back in time. The gift shop is eclectically Idaho. Summer, one of the owners has done a remarkable job of sourcing mostly local gifts, art, treats, knickknacks and more. It is well worth a look around.

The family and pet friendly, fun and huge patio sits right on the rivers edge and is a perfect spot to read a book, daydream, soak up the sun, enjoy the views, have a special date night and a day of family fun with all of the available activities and events. The Locking Horns Riverside also hosts a ton of events all summer long with lots of live music to enjoy. No matter what summer plans you have this year, make sure you make time for this iconic spot.
