4-year-old Mason Ochoa was outside with his little brother Nicholas when things almost took a really bad turn.
Mason saw his brother Nicholas fall into their backyard pool. The pool once had a fence around it, but that fence had recently came down because they sold the house. Mason rushed outside and grabbed his brother's arm and screamed for help, all while keeping Nicholas' head above water.
Thankfully, Mason is a fast learner and already knows how to swim at 4-years-old. Mason's grandfather Raul Velez told Los Angeles CBS, "That helps a lot. He's only 4 years old. He's my hero." Nicholas was saved so quickly by his brother that he didn't sustain any injuries.
Because of Mason's quick actions and becoming a hero to his family, he had the run of the Placentia Fire Department. He was presented with the department's challenge coin along with his younger brother.
