88-year-old Brad Hathaway just accomplish a huge feat after more than three decades.

His daily walks through his Massachusetts neighborhood have logged 24,901 miles which equals to one circle of the world at the equator.

Hathaway started walking after a doctor suggested he get some exercise for the betterment of his health 32 years ago. He told a news station, "I had heart problems. I had diabetes. I had other health problems." To celebrate his final mile of his circle around the world, he walked with friends and family.

He hopes his story will inspire others to get out and be active. He added, "I hear a lot of people now, when they get to this stage in life, they kind of give up. But I’m not going to give up, I’m going to keep walking. I’m going to keep walking as long as I can. When my time comes, that’s when I’ll stop.”
