An elderly blind man in Maine has his dog to thank for saving his life.
While trying to take his yellow Labrador Samantha for a dog run, an 84-year-old legally blind man slipped and fell into a brook. Shortly after, a woman heard a man yelling in the woods behind her. She alerted the York County Sheriff's Office. When they arrived at the scene, they found Samantha, who would not stop barking until one of the officers followed her to the brook.
The blind man was unable to make his way out of the brook and was getting hypothermia. Thanks to Samantha, they were able to successfully rescue him from the brook.
