TMSG: Fraternity Brothers Pay Off Mortgage Of House Cook 30 Years Later

A group of Louisiana State University fraternity brothers from Phi Gamma Delta recently came together to help someone close to all of their hearts.

The fraternity brothers have always said their house cook Jessie Hamilton while at the fraternity house was like a mother to them. So when they recently found out that she was working two jobs to pay off her mortgage all these years later, they stepped in to help.

Ahead of her 74th birthday celebration, the group of fraternity brothers surprised Hamilton with $51,765. They presented Hamilton with a check to cover her mortgage and then a second check for $6,675 to spend on herself. In the end, 91 brothers came together and donated an average of $560 each to make the money happen.
