The deadly winter storm caused major power outages in Texas recently, but a restaurant in the area made sure to still help out its community during a time of need.
Bella Italia Ristorante lost power, but they still had gas for cooking. So while the restaurant was closed for business, the owner Ari Isufaj decided to open up their kitchen anyways and prepare free meals. They cooked up lasagna and spaghetti for anyone in need of a bite to eat.
They served up free meals to more than 500 people in just three hours. Then they continued on in their quest to help by delivering 80 meals to a warming center at a church the day before.
