Hillsborough County school crossing guard is being credited with saving one of her student's lives.

Kathleen Quinn is a crossing guard supervisor in Valrico, Florida. A video captured the moment when a car is driving and continued driving, but didn't slow down upon seeing the crosswalk. According to officials, a seven-year-old girl started to cross the intersection at the same time.

That's when Quinn immediately reached for the girl and stopped her just in time before a potentially tragic incident happened. The girl's mother Mia Carlson was overwhelmed with gratitude as she watched Quinn save her daughter from being hit by the car.

Carlson called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's to share Quinn's heroic actions. And due to her actions, the sheriff's office highlighted her efforts on Crossing Guard Appreciation Day.
