The best part? The episode had nothing to do with potatoes!

South Park, which just so happens to be my all-time favorite TV show, has featured characters from all over the world. Mexico, Iraq, Heaven, the North Pole. On one episode, however, we got to know a boy from right here in Boise, Idaho.

In the episode "You're Not Yelping," we get introduced to ten-year-old David Rodriguez. David is a Latino-American who's parents own the Nueva Familia Mexican restaurant in South Park. Cartman, who recently took up a career as a Yelp reviewer, dines at David's family restaurant only gives it two stars. Soon after, he goes on a racist tirade against David, who he has a strong dislike for simply because he's a busboy. You can see the clip here.

*warning: strong language*

Throughout the episode, Cartman continues the racist comments about David being from Mexico. That's when David replies that he's actually from Boise, born and raised. Cartman can't seem to get it through his head that someone who's Latino is from anywhere other than Mexico, and things just get worse from there.

So next time you're playing a little drunk trivia with your friends, you can drop some knowledge about that time Boise made it on South Park. You're welcome.
